The Malvern Water and Well Dressing Festival is all set to return this weekend with an abundance of creativity and entertainment.
The popular festival will be held from Saturday, 4 May, to Sunday, 12 May 2024 and will see more than 50 wells creatively decorated in the theme of 'Trees'.
The festival starts with dressing the wells on Friday, 3 May, Judging takes place on Saturday, 4 May, and prize giving with rosettes and certificates on Bank Holiday Monday, 6 May, in Priory Park where the Water Festival Family Fun Day also takes place.
The annual event celebrates the history of the Malvern Hills, including its iconic spring water and Victorian Water Cure. It is brought to the town by the Malvern Spa Association with local businesses and community groups taking part.
Entertainment taking place during the festival includes singing, self-guided walks, well blessings, minibus tours and more.
The Water Festival includes family fun activities, live music, street entertainers, Maypole dancing and much more.
Also taking place at the Water Festival will be The Spirit of Malvern Painting Competition, which sees artists paint outdoors for the day and exhibit their paintings in Priory Park.

Victoria Carman, Visitor Economy Manager from Malvern Hills District Council said: “We’re really looking forward to the popular festival returning this weekend, it’s a big occasion, last year over 800 people took part in dressing the wells, springs and spouts. We encourage residents and visitors to take a look at the wonderfully decorated wells and pop along to the water festival on Monday for a family fun day out.”
